STATS Game Night · Friends & Family Beta · v1.0
STATS is a free skill-and-attention game played along with a live basketball broadcast. You score by predicting the game before tip-off and by answering questions about what just happened at each quarter break. No wagers, no entry fee — ever.
Lock 6 picks before tip-off: winning team (10 pts) and the leader in points, assists, steals, rebounds & blocks (5 pts each). Nail the leader's exact stat total for a +5 bonus per category — so a category you fully nail is worth 10. Predictions can't be changed after tip-off.
At the end of each quarter, answer 4 questions about the quarter you just watched. They are not box-score trivia — they're the stuff you only catch if the game is actually on in front of you. Correct answers are worth 1 pt each in Q1, 2 in Q2, 3 in Q3, and 4 in Q4. You have 20 seconds per question. No lookups — the whole game is that you were paying attention.
Every correct quarter answer also banks the seconds you had left on the clock as Speed points. Example: answer correctly with 14 seconds left → +14 ⚡. Ties in total points are broken by Speed. Speed never beats accuracy — it only settles ties.
Once per half you can fire your Lifeline: in Practice mode it removes wrong options; on Game Night it adds +15 seconds to the clock (time to ask the room — just like the arena timeout).
When the host posts each quarter's answers (from the broadcast + official box score), your quarter scores itself — there is nothing to tap. After the final buzzer the host enters the official stat leaders and your prediction sheet scores too. Max score: 100. Post your result card to the group chat — highest score wins the night, Speed breaks ties.
Answer from what you watched — not from a box score mid-question. The 20-second clock exists so lookups don't pay. Host's announced answers are final (official box score settles disputes). Be cool: it's game night, not the SEC.
Free to play; no purchase or payment ever required to play or win. 18+. This beta is for entertainment among friends; any prizes are provided by the host/sponsor and awarded on final verified stats. STATS is not affiliated with any league, club or broadcaster — we're a game about watching the game. Full sweepstakes rules will govern public seasons.

This is what you (or an automation) control on game night. It's the seed of the "auto-post & auto-score" pipeline.
You're the host. At each quarter break: (1) tell the crew to answer in the app, (2) check the broadcast + box score, (3) post the answers in the group chat. ~60 seconds of work per quarter.
Tap a quarter to copy its questions for the group chat. Answers come from watching + the live box score.
Every quarter, the stats feed streams in events like these. This is the raw material — no human watching required.
Tap it. Templates scan the feed above and write the quarter's questions — with the correct answer already computed. Answers auto-lock from the same feed; every player is scored instantly.
One tap fans results out to your channels + updates the live leaderboard.
After the final buzzer, collect everyone's scores from the group chat and enter them here to rank the crew and name the winner.
Enter each player's final score from their result card. Highest points wins — ⚡ Speed breaks ties automatically.
Everyone playing tonight sees this. Keep it about the game.
